We are seeking a motivated and skilled US/UK dual handling tax preparer to join our growing US team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of both UK and US personal tax returns, tax calculations and notes to a high standard for Manager/Assistant Manager review. Alongside your tax compliance work, you will also have the opportunity to work on wide-ranging tax advisory assignments. Our clients are high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, with a US and UK element to their tax affairs.
You may have already started your ATT or Enrolled Agent training or have recently completed them. We will provide full training support. The role involves interaction with clients, ensuring client requirements are met and expectations exceeded, and contributing to the overall success of the firm.
Who We're Looking For:
· 2 years+ of experience in a private practice, experienced in the preparation of US federal tax returns (forms 1040 and 1040NR) and UK Self Assessment returns..
· Ability to demonstrate technical skills and attention to detail.
· Proactive approach to widening/ deepening tax knowledge.
· Takes responsibility for monitoring budgets and informing senior management of any over-run
· Identify technical areas to be researched when preparing personal tax computations and able to research these areas independently or seek input from Managers/Partners to present findings ready for discussion.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including direct client communication.
·Completes a detailed timesheet on a daily basis and identifies any work performed which is not part of fixed fee compliance work.

Requirements:
· ATT/EA semi or qualified
· 2+ years of experience preparing both UK and US complex personal tax returns
· Some experience of preparing advisory work
